Let’s explore part of the sestier de Dorsoduro, one of the most interesting and authentic areas of Venice. Here we’ll visit a “squero” where gondolas are still crafted according to non-written techniques that were passed down from one generation to another.

Bruno Barbon’s atelier is located in the distinctive San Polo Sestiere, nearby Campo San Tomà. We will discover his tiny but authentic atelier where he will help us to unveil the secrets of unique pieces of art.

He is one of the few crafteman who still carves the famous “moretti veneziani” and his production range from unique pieces made to the customer’s design to copies and re production of period works.

Visiting the historical weaving factory is like travelling in time back to the legendary eighteenth-century Venice surrounded by lavish velvets, wooden looms and million-color fabrics.

A den of wonders where the charm of history mixes with the glossy photos of celebrities and luxury brand advertising campaigns the Tessitura Bevilacqua “have dressed” the international beau monde for over five centuries.

Let’s enjoy  one of the most antique weaving factories, where some of the most precious velvets, brocades, damasks, lampasses and satins are fabricated according to ancient, manual techniques.

Visiting Mario Berta Battiloro’s atelier means entering in the Palazzo where the painter Tiziano Vecellio lived.

Berta Battiloro is the last craftsman left in Europe able to transform gold into tiny sheets, an ancient profession that arrived in Venice from Byzantium back in the 11th century.

In the small atelier, finely decorated with 24K gold, Marino, together with his wife Sabrina and their two daughters Eleonora and Sara, creates the precious gold foils that are largely used in the art, beauty and food industries.

You will enjoy an unique experience visiting the Orsoni historical Venetian furnace that uses the same traits sinche 1888 to produce 24K gold leaf mosaics, colored gold and enamels. Orsoni has manufactured mosaics for the Sagrada Familia and St. Mark’s Church.

Let’s visit the unique “color library”, a timeless piece of art that preserves almost 3,000 mosaics of different tones and shades, more than 100 for each color!

An unique opportunity to meet a “mascarero”, the master of Art who will unveil the history of the authentic papier-mache masks tecnique. We will discover the incredibile variety of  jesters, goblins and the main characters  of the Commedia dell’arte:  Pantalone, Zanni, Arlecchino, Bauta and Moretta.

The craftsmen of the Boldrin workshop will help us to relive the tradition of the Mascararo, job officially established in Venice in 1300.

The Fallani workshop will lead us to discover the Venetian artistic serigraphy, a printing technique that will allowed  to immerse yourself in a world of colours experiencing the reproduction of a work of art, customizing it but at the same time keeping its uniqueness! Dozens of national and international artists have visited Fallani, here you will discover and experiment techniques and applications.

You  will choose the subject and colours as a professional choosing between cardstock, T-shirt and canvas bag supports! A screen printing workshop really suitable for everyone, adults, children, artists and not!
